Viscosity, by definition, is the resistance that any fluid shows against flowing.
In general, in physical chemistry, fluids, which include liquids and gases, are considered as columns that are sliding on each other, so in other words, it can be said that viscosity is the friction between fluid layers. Now, the more this friction is, the more difficult it will be for the fluid to flow. The test device for measuring the viscosity coefficient of different liquids examines one of the methods of measuring the dynamic viscosity coefficient.
