Venturi meter device

In the venturi meter test device, the relationships and governing rules for calculating the flow rate passing through the venturi meter are studied.
Venturi meter is a tube whose first half opens in the shape of a narrow cone and the second half opens in the shape of an inverted cone. Therefore, in the first part, the water flow increases in speed and decreases in pressure, and in the second part, it is accompanied by a decrease in speed and an increase in pressure.
Venturi meter is used to determine the flow rate in pipes. In this experiment, by using several piezometers installed on the venturi meter, the speed and pressure changes can be measured along the length of the venturi meter. With Bernoulli’s equations and continuity and having the values ​​of the difference in the level of piezometers at different points, it is possible to calculate the flow rate and compare it with the measured flow rate.
