Elastic twist device

This device is used to calculate the value of the shear modulus of objects and compare it with the theoretical values and determine the shear stresses in the shaft.
Twisted components have many applications in engineering. The most common use can be related to power transmission shafts, which are used to transfer power from one place to another.
In the elastic torsion testing machine, a s316 steel rod is tied between two birds as a test sample. The location of the birds can be changed, which changes the effective length of the rod as a result.

• Measurement of twist angle by Korean Atonics encoder
• Gravitational loading mechanism to produce torsional torque
• The ability to change the effective length of the rod using two three systems up to a maximum of 70 cm (one fixed and one movable)
• Display test data in two digital forms or transfer to computer through software and computer analysis
• The device has teaching power point and student’s agenda, calculation notebook and software training video
• Conducting tests for different samples (iron, brass and steel, diameter 4 to 6 mm and length)
• The device has electrostatic paint
