Gas absorption tower device

In the absorption tower, the liquid is sent from the top of the tower in order to eliminate the operating costs caused by the liquid pump from the bottom and use the force of gravity. On the other hand, the gas is sent from the bottom to the top and the two phases are put in contact with each other. The concentration gradient inside the tower is in such a way that the adjacent layers of the flowing liquid dissolve the adsorbed component in it, and since the chemical potential of the gas layers is disturbed, then inside the gas layers, the mass transfer is in the form that from somewhere that the concentration of the adsorbed component is high, that is, the center of the column flows towards the layers, and in this way, a component is absorbed and removed from the gas containing it.
In this device, there is a transparent column filled with acne, to which the liquid flow enters from above by means of a pump, before entering the column, the liquid passes through a rotameter so that its flow rate can be adjusted. The flow of gases also enters the tower from the bottom after passing through their own rotameters. The pressure difference between the top and bottom of the tower is measured by a manometer.
